Common concerns include:
Academic pressure and performance anxiety
Perfectionism leading to procrastination or burnout
Social anxiety or peer conflict
Emotional outbursts or shutdown
Irritability at home
Difficulty expressing needs
Low self-esteem or identity confusion
Often, teens want support but struggle to articulate what feels wrong.
Strong Fit Indicators
Teen therapy may be a strong fit when:
Anxiety shows up as avoidance, irritability, or overachievement
School performance fluctuates due to stress
Communication at home feels tense or disconnected
A teen appears high-functioning but internally overwhelmed
A teen is navigating identity questions or social transitions
We collaborate with parents while preserving developmentally appropriate confidentiality.
Not the Right Fit
We may not be the right fit if:
A teen is experiencing active suicidal intent or requires immediate crisis stabilization (call 988 or seek emergency care).
A higher level of care such as inpatient or intensive outpatient treatment is needed.
Court-ordered evaluations or forensic services are required.
When appropriate, we provide referrals.
