You don’t have to relive it to heal from it.

Trauma doesn’t always look like one big, dramatic event.

Sometimes it’s a buildup of stressful experiences that your mind and body never fully processed—leaving you feeling stuck, reactive, disconnected or overwhelmed.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that helps your brain do what it’s wired to do: heal.

It doesn’t require you to talk in detail about everything that happened. Instead, it helps your nervous system process old wounds and unhook from the past so those memories stop running the show.

At Middle Path Wellness Collective, our EMDR-trained therapists create a calm, supportive space where you can move through what’s keeping you stuck—with care, control, and collaboration.

Whether you’ve experienced trauma, chronic stress, or you’re just feel hijacked by your past, EMDR can help you reclaim your present.

You don’t have to stay stuck in survival mode.

Healing is possible—and we’re here when you're ready.

The past is in the present.

You’ve been having some big reactions out of the blue lately and you’re not sure what the heck is going on. You feel like you’re being kind of “dramatic” if you’re being honest. But you also can’t seem to stop it. Your loved ones have noticed and keep asking you if you’re “okay.”

Well, no. You’re not okay
It’s not something that you seem to have control over. It just sort of…happens.

You want answers and you want to stop feeling like this.

This is a trauma response.

Think about it this way.

When something happens to you, no matter how big or small, it leaves a lasting impression. It changes how you see yourself (usually negatively) and the world you live in. And from that moment on you see things through those glasses that have a new “tint” to them.

And now, as an adult, you’re still seeing things through these tinted glasses and it’s making less and less sense to you, let alone those around you.
You feel like something is wrong and you want to figure out what it is.

You just want to feel better.

That’s where EMDR, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing, comes in. This new(er) therapeutic approach helps you to identify the negative beliefs that you have learned to believe about yourself and the world and helps you reprocess them into something positive that you know in your mind to be true.

For example: you can’t help but feel unsafe in a particular situation. There’s no basis for this that you can think of. You find yourself panicking when put in this situation and it just feels so out of character for you. When we’re together and processing, your negative belief is that you’re not safe. You want to believe that you are safe or that you can recognize the difference between safe and unsafe situations.

The thing I love most about EMDR is that it doesn't require you to talk in detail about your stressful/traumatic experiences. There's no homework to complete in order for you to see the results, either. You just have to be willing to let me guide you through the process in a safe and supportive environment...aka let go of your control over the situation for a hot sec.

EMDR prompts your brain's natural healing process and gives you the space to safely experience and release these negative beliefs so that you can find long-term relief from the distress you've been experiencing.

EMDR also has a lot fewer side effects than medication.

There are MANY proven benefits of EMDR therapy, including (not necessarily limited to):

  • restful sleep

  • increased self-confidence

  • freedom from past experiences that keep you stuck

  • feeling more connected to and in control of the present

  • alleviates panic attacks

  • silences your Bitchy Brenda (aka inner critic) by transforming negative beliefs into positive ones

Almost anyone can benefit from EMDR, whether you're currently experiencing a crisis, struggling and unable to keep up with all of life's demands or stuck in survival mode.

EMDR is also shown to be successful in treating a number of mental health issues such as Anxiety, Panic Attacks, PTSD, Stress, Depression, Grief & Loss, Imposter Syndrome, Perfectionism, People Pleasing and so many more.

Let's be real.
There’s a reason our brain hides certain memories, feelings, thoughts and emotions.

You don’t have to let the past continue to control your present or future.

Put yourself back in control of your life and schedule a consultation.
